Information and communication technology (ICT)-based business offerings provider Fujitsu has launched its IS12T smartphone based on Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS.
Windows Phone IS12T is the first smartphone in Japan to run Windows Phone 7.5 and provides users with full access to Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, said Fujitsu.
IS12T also provides access to Microsoft’s free Windows Live SkyDrive cloud service, through which users can store and share up to roughly 25GB of data.
The Tokyo based company said that the smartphone comes with social media integration, a video and audio player, 32GB of built-in memory and a 13.2 megapixel camera.
The smartphone also features water-resistant (IPX5/8) and dust-resistant (IP5X) technology, said Fujitsu.
Windows Phone IS12T features a compact, 59mm thin design, said the company.
The new smartphone from Fujitsu Toshiba Mobile Communications will be available in Japan beginning 25 August, said the company.
