Cox Business, a broadband communications company, has extended its Security Suite service, powered by McAfee SAAS security technology, to its Internet subscribers.

The company said that its Security Suite’s in-built website safety advisor McAfee Site Advisor technology, uses colour codes to identify risky websites, enabling users to safely surf the Web and transact online.

In addition, the suite also includes anti-virus, anti-phishing, anti-spyware software; automatic updates and upgrades from SAAS; has firewall and identify theft protection; centralised web-based management in the SecurityCenter console; and customisable installations, reports and automatic updates.

The company said that its new offering minimises system downtime and provides uninterrupted protection with automatic scans and updates. From the Web-based SecurityCenter console users can centralise installation, configuration, reporting and set policies and manage office groups or individual PCs, as well as customised reporting widgets and scheduling on demand scans.
