Concur, a provider of on-demand Employee Spend Management services, has revealed that it will unveil Concur Mobile for the iPhone next week. The company claimed that this extension to its Travel & Expense – Concur’s ‘end-to-end’ travel and expense management (T&E) service enables iPhone users to manage their itinerary, conduct in-policy business travel transactions, capture T&E expense data and approve expense reports, all from a smartphone.
Already in use by business travelers on BlackBerry or Windows Mobile devices, Concur Mobile is reportedly the business travel companion that helps companies control the amount of unmanaged employee spend that occurs during business travel. With the introduction of Concur Mobile for the iPhone, travel managers can provide their business travelers with a choice from among the three smartphone platforms to manage corporate travel spend, the company stated.
The company said that Concur Mobile enables travelers to view their itinerary booked through Concur Travel & Expense, and add or delete items such as hotels, rental cars, dining reservations and taxis – all from their mobile phone. Concur Mobile is currently available in English, French and German, at no additional charge for the company’s T&E customers.
The product also lets business travelers capture miscellaneous out-of-pocket purchases and tips, ensuring that these commonly forgotten transactions are automatically accounted for within the expense report. Managers can also review their employees’ expense reports in detail, right from their hand-held device, allowing them to approve or reject expense reports, no matter where they are, the company said.
