Check Point Software Technologies has unveiled new UTM-1 Edge N and Safe@Office N appliances, which it claims to deliver gigabit firewall performance for small and medium businesses and branch offices.
The company said that the new unified threat management appliances deliver security, including firewall, intrusion prevention, anti-virus, anti-spam, web filtering and remote access connectivity.
In addition, the new appliances include integrated security and networking features such as gigabit ethernet supporting networking capabilities and 3G and wireless connectivity supporting the new IEEE 802.11n Wi-Fi standards.
The UTM-1 Edge and Safe@Office appliances are all-inclusive offerings that enable customers to centrally manage remote sites from a single enterprise console. It can be managed by a MSSP and comes with built-in management, security updates and support, Check Point said.
