CA has unveiled a new internet security suite called CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2010 (CA ISS Plus 2010), which provides security and protection when accessing the internet for banking, shopping and spending time online.
The company said that many elements of the suite including business-strength firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-phishing software have been updated to provide better performance and protection against a wide range of emerging online threats.
According to CA, the new security suite is powered by a new core processing technology that helps boost performance and accuracy in detecting malware. The product includes a new interface that allows users to organise and customise their security experience for the entire family. In addition, CA ISS Plus 2010 features cached scanning for faster anti-malware scans.
The company said that the new internet Security Suite Plus 2010’s parental control is designed to allow parents to filter, monitor or block access to websites, instant messaging and peer-to-peer services that may contain objectionable content or allow contact by online predators. It also blocks violence, social networking, blogs, forums, and shopping sites.
The company added that the new product ensures that important files are backed up; protecting photos, documents, music files, program data and PC settings from loss. The CA ISS Plus 2010 backup include incremental backups; PC to PC migrations; and additional 2GB online backup from MozyHome.
CA claims that its internet security products are designed to use system resources efficiently and are simple to install,which means that novice computer users can have the security system up and running in minutes and that the software will not slow down a computer.
