The Agile Alliance and ThoughtWorks have introduced the Agile2009 Conference Connection, a free iPhone App that is said to allow conference attendees to view session information, create custom itineraries and share information and experiences via social media networking tools.
ThoughtWorks developed the Agile2009 Conference Connection application to provide event information and a personal scheduling tool for iPhone and/or iTouch devices.
The application reportedly allows users to: view session background information and times for the entire conference; create a custom itinerary with a personalised schedule; navigate the conference floor plan through a detailed map of the conference facilities; provide feedback on topics and presenters from individual sessions; and offers ability to access Twitter feeds from conference.
Scott Conley, chief strategy officer of ThoughtWorks, said: With more than 300 outstanding sessions available at Agile 2009, this new iPhone application will allow attendees to easily search, review and plan an itinerary that meets their specific needs. We also incorporated social media capabilities to allow participants to connect with each other and share experiences with peers that were not able to attend this year’s event.
