Telefonica-owned mobile operator 02 has announced details of its tariffs for 4G services that will launch on August 29.
O2’s latest contract, called O2 Refresh, enables users to upgrade their device to a newer model at any time, starting from £22 a month for 1GB of data and going up to £37 a month for 8GB of data. If users want a 4G device, they will need to pay between £10 to £25 extra per month.
Until October 31, O2 said it would offer users 5GB of data from £27 a month and 8GB from £32 a month.
02 said that its users will have access to a range of music, sport and gaming on their devices.
The 02 4G music services includes Top 40 Singles Chart, while 02 Priority Sports will allow users to get free videos offering training tips on the move from sport advisers.
Users can also play games including Asphalt 8, Airborne and Zombiewood from Gameloft, without using up their data allowance.
David Whitby, UK & Ireland country manager at Gameloft, said: "We’re thrilled to be working with O2 to bring multiplayer gaming on-the-go to O2’s 4G customers. We’ll know they’ll love being able to race supercars through the streets of London with their friends – even while stuck in traffic on a bus."
O2 has also introduced a 90 day Happiness Guarantee for 4G users. If a users change their mind, O2 will transfer them back to an equivalent 3G tariff with a bill credit of up to £15.
Prepay and mobile broadband 4G tariffs will launch before the end of the year, with more details being released in due course.
