Intel revealed details of its Core M processors to power thin and light weight fan-less devices.

When Compared to 4th generation Intel Core processor, Core M is expected to deliver 50% faster CPU performance and 40% faster graphics performance.

The processor can improve the battery life of the device up to 20% more than its predecessor the company said.

It will be available as 2.0 GHz Intel Core M-5Y10/5Y10a processors to 2.6 GHz Intel Core M-5Y70 processor.

The M-5Y70 will be available with Intel vPro technology with built-in security features to help protect user identities, data and network access.

Intel senior vice president Kirk Skaugen said: "We’ve been on a multi-year mission to address end-user requirements and transform mobile computing. The introduction of Core M marks a significant milestone in that journey. Core M is the first of a new product family designed to deliver the promise of one of the world’s thinnest laptops and highest performance tablets in a single 2 in 1 device."
