Huawei says it contributed £956m to the UK’s GDP over the past three years as well as supporting 7,400 jobs but says it can improve in particular areas.
The company is aiming to spend £1.3bn in the UK between 2013-17, which will be split between its investment and procurement activities.
Ken Hu, Huawei Group Rotating CEO, executive director, Huawei UK Board, said: "The UK is rightly known as a country which has an outstanding record in fostering business growth and pioneering technological innovations."
"These attributes make it one of our most important markets internationally. We are proud to make a contribution to the UK economy through our products and services and the ground-breaking innovation and R&D that we carry out in Britain. The impact report confirms the benefits we bring, but also indicates areas where can improve."
The figures come from an economic impact study commissioned by the company and conducted by Oxford Economics, this is the first time it has had its economic impact in any country independently audited.
Huawei founer and CEO, Ren Zhengfei made the spending commitment in Spetember 2012 with UK PM David Cameron.
