Dell has introduced a new offering, Desktop Virtualisation Solutions (DDVS), which utilises pre-packaged services with configured and tested hardware and software.

The new offering facilitates in design and implementation of complexities inherent in deploying virtualised desktop environments and enhances the adoption of desktop virtualisation, said the company.

The DDVS portfolio is specially designed to enable customers to support virtually anytime, anywhere, any end-user computing device in a secure and predictable way.

The offering is based on an open architecture, which enables organisations to provide IT agility and the flexibility needed to help support an enterprise while helping enhance the end-user experience.

In addition, DDVS consists Dell’s Integrated Solution Stack, which is designed to simplify virtualised deployments.

Dell said that it provides flexibility by offering four delivery models that are designed to address specific customer business requirements and IT environments including: Virtual Desktop as a Service (vDaaS) Solution; Managed Service Solution; Customer Managed Solution; and Custom Solution.

Dell solutions vice-president Jan Uhrich said Desktop virtualisation offers customers an opportunity to drive technology productivity by streamlining and simplifying the management of the desktop, enabling workers to use virtually any device, anytime, from anywhere.
