The BBC has launched an official iPlayer app for Apple TV, allowing users to view TV episodes and other content airing on the UK channel.
The app includes a catalog of programs from the past 30 days and live-streaming of all BBC TV channels.
BBC iPlayer is available on more than 10,000 devices in the UK from computers and smartphones to tablets and connected TVs.
BBC iPlayer head Dan Taylor-Watt said: "Christmas is a popular time for viewers to come to BBC iPlayer, as they unwrap new devices and browse and discover the BBC’s fantastic Christmas programmes.
"With the launch of iPlayer on new Apple TV, I’m delighted we’ve been able to give people another way of accessing the full breadth and range of BBC programmes.
The updates to its mobile and tablet apps will allow the BBC to deliver more personalised recommendations of its programmes to viewers, who can also stream BBC Store purchases directly from the iPlayer app.
The iPlayer is already available on a range of devices including Amazon’s Fire TV, Google Chromecast, Roku, Sky’s Now TV box and various video game consoles.
