Information Technology, consulting and outsourcing company Wipro Technologies has joined the Google Cloud Platform Partner Program as a services partner.

Expecting that every product or IT service will be either available in cloud or cloud attached, the company seeks to leverage Google’s Cloud Platform for company’s IT and R&D customers worldwide.

Wipro Global IT Business chief technology officer and senior vice president Anurag Srivastava said the Google Cloud Platform Partner Program enables it to help the clients develop new cloud-based applications that drive their success in the IT and Product R&D by building on the power of the Google Cloud Platform.

"The Google Cloud Platform offers a broad set of application development, cloud storage, large scale computing, and Big Data capabilities that enable us to deliver on our promise of serving our customers with desired business variability and excellent user experience," Srivastava said.

Google’s Cloud Platform products enable customers to implement cloud app offerings using Google App Engine and Google Cloud SQL, cloud storage applications using Google Cloud Storage.

The platform will allow customers to implement cloud storage application such as high-end backup and recovery, active archiving, global file sharing/collaboration, and primary SAN/NAS.

Using Google Compute Engine, companies can implement large-scale computing application such as batch processing, data processing and high performance computing.

Customers can also implement large-scale computing applications using Google Compute Engine and big data applications using Google BigQuery and Google Prediction API.

The Google Cloud Platform Partner Program includes Services Partners such as systems integrators, IT consultant firms, developers, web designers, and other professional services companies that help clients design, develop and manage new cloud-based applications.
