The "Two and a Half men" star is set to play Steve Jobs in the indie film titled "Jobs." The film is likely to start in May with Joshua Michael Stern as director.
Variety reports that the film will follow Steve Jobs life from "wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple, where he became one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of our time."
Ashton, the former partner of actress Demi Moore, is said to bear some resemblance to the Jobs in his younger years. He is best known for his role in "Two and a half men" and has received critical acclaim for David Mackenzie’s "Spread" and Emilio Estevez’s "Bobby" which was based on the shooting of Robert F Kennedy.
Ashton Kutcher is no stranger to the technology scene with over 10 million followers on Twitter and is an investor in several technology companies which include Skype and Foursquare.
Sony is developing a different film about Steve Jobs based on Walter Issacson’s official biography of the Apple founder.
