The London WC-based Computing Services Association has set up the Value Added Resellers Special Interest Group, to address supply channel issues: the 50-member organisation plans to publish a charter setting standards for reseller-vendor relations in the next few months; resellers have identified issues that put stress on relations with hardware manufacturers, database vendors and other software and service suppliers; topics such as inadequate account management by suppliers, the recruitment of resellers by suppliers, rivalry between suppliers and resellers and the over-recruitment of resellers will be examined and a vendor manual will be compiled that will include contributions from vendors.
