Israel-based Retalix, a global software provider to food retailers and distributors, will provide the Dutch group with Retalix StoreLine in what will be its first contract with a Dutch tier-1 food retailer.
Retalix StoreLine provides hardware-independent point-of-sale (POS), back office and mobile functionality, system robustness and the ability to process critical data in real time across multiple sales channels and formats.
Project work at Laurus, one of Holland’s top-five retailers, started last year, with first pilot stores live since March 2006. The rollout of the Retalix software across all stores is scheduled to be completed during 2007.
We are excited by the opportunity to work with Laurus, and further expand our presence in Benelux countries, said Barry Shaked, president and CEO of Retalix. This is a further step in the implementation of our global strategy.
French retail group, Casino owns a 45% share in Laurus and the Dutch retailers Super de Boer stores account for around 8% of the Dutch food retail market.
