Under terms of the contract, AT&T will provide a vast array of traditional and wireless voice and data services, synchronous optical network (SONET), internet protocol-enabled networks and additional voice services.

It is reported that Bemis’s domestic employees will benefit from AT&T wireless service and handsets, enabling faster connection, collaboration and decision making. When paired with AT&T virtual private network (VPN) services, Bemis will be connected at any and all locations, enabling the company to deliver products quickly to its customers, said AT&T.

Additionally, Bemis will deploy AT&T SONET services to maintain high speed, crucial voice and data network traffic. By consolidating voice and data traffic onto a single 69-mile high speed optical-fiber platform, SONET will provide significant carrier-class capacity to support a complete enterprise with built-in redundancies, said AT&T.

Also, Bemis will have access to the secure AT&T BusinessDirect portal, where the company has around-the-clock access to real-time information on the performance and procurement of its network services, electronic billing, reporting and ordering systems, maintained AT&T.

Terry Korus, telecommunications manager at Bemis, said: Bemis needed an innovative provider that could equip our business with the integrated solutions necessary to make us fast and efficient in the market. AT&T’s advanced solutions position us to continue providing our customers with innovative packaging and pressure-sensitive solutions, in a cost-effective manner.

Bemis is headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin.
