AT&T is to connect up to one million Red Bull branded beverage coolers around the world using its IoT solution.
The solution, which was designed by AT&T technologists and developers in partnership with Red Bull, will track and manage the supply and demand of Red Bull’s beverage coolers globally.
Data gathered from the coolers will register to ensure that all beverages are cold and ready for shoppers, identifying any issues as they appear and even before they occur.
The data will also offer shopper frequency insight from the coolers located worldwide, meaning that each time a connected cooler door opens and closes, an embedded monitor is registered to collect data and send it across the AT&T Global Sim on regular intervals.
AT&T’s control centre and IoT platform (Flow and M2X) are to process the data from each cooler and generate the information gathered.

Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO of Business solutions & International, AT&T said: “Our end-to-end solutions support the near real-time monitoring and analysing of the global beverage market.
“This is another great example of collaboration and innovation to create value for our customers. It streamlines the processes, creates visibility and improves operations, helping drive significant cost saving and return on investment.”
The solution provides accessibility for workers as they will no longer need to manually check the status of each unit, as the data sent from the coolers is to deliver an instant access to performance, temperature stats and geo-location information.
As IoT becomes more advance in the rise of deployment across industries, businesses are noticeably delivering solutions for global use in the market. These solutions are also seen to level up across the many different platforms and industries that they are adopted in.
