Microsoft’s HoloLens arrival at the ISS was postponed after the SpaceX’s Falcon 9 exploded this Sunday in the US.
SpaceX’s CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter that there was "an overpressure event in the upper stage liquid oxygen tank. Data suggests counterintuitive cause."
The incident happened two minutes into the scheduled launch, after it started ascending from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 10:21am ET.
The company said it will carry a formal investigation overseen by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and NASA.
No further take-offs using Falcon 9 aircrafts will take place in the near future.
Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella said: "Space is hard. NASA we are with you and ready to try again."
The spacecraft was on its seventh mission to the space station and was also carrying food, oxygen, experiments and engineering equipment.
