In a move designed to compete with Apple, Samsung and Huawei smartwatches, HP has signed into a partnership with watchmaker Titan.
The collaboration with the world’s fifth largest watchmaker is part of the company’s program Engineered and will develop a new range of smartwatches.
More information on the devices are set to be released before the end of Q4 2015, a Titan source told CBR.
As part of its Engineered program, HP has developed the hardware modules, software and user interface, and is providing HP cloud services for all of the brand smartwatches under the scheme, which includes Movado and Michael Bastian.
HP has also designed an app that allows users configure and connect the watches to the cloud.
The addition of Titan to Engineered has been thought to infuse technology seamlessly into the way consumers live.
The devices are scheduled to be launched in India and other international markets.
S. Ravi Kant, CEO watches and accessories division at Titan, said: "Engineered by HP and Titan make a formidable duo with each lending the other a new dimension, resulting in smart timepieces designed with today’s discerning consumer in mind."
