Zoran has launched a new SupraHD 787 HDTV processors which are now available to qualified DTV manufacturers supplying the ATSC digital TV market in the US.

The SupraHD 787 processor includes all the features of earlier versions of the SupraHD family of processors, picture-in-picture functionality and advanced video processing, noise reduction as well as enhanced color management and control are a few among those.

SupraHD 787 comes with an integrated LCD overdrive function that eliminates the requirement of separate circuitry and additional memory. It also comes with block noise reduction technology which reduces the block visual artifacts usually observed in off-air DTV programmes.

Andy Gane, senior director of TV product line for  Home Entertainment division at Zoran, said: “Zoran’s engineering and integration expertise allowed us to enhance this new product generation with Block Noise Reduction technology, LCD Overdrive circuitry and additional features that provide a significantly improved top-level viewing experience.
