Sanoma Uitgevers, a magazine publisher in the Netherlands, and Atos Origin have renewed their contract for outsourcing IT management until the end of 2013.
Atos Origin will be responsible for managing the whole IT infrastructure. With this move, Sanoma Uitgevers has consciously opted for single sourcing so that services previously provided by a number of third parties – like security, data centre hosting and the management of multifunctional peripherals such as printers – will now be looked after by Atos Origin.
Hubert Grim, manager IO&P at Sanoma Uitgevers, said: This contract marks the strengthening of the long-term relationship between Sanoma Uitgevers and Atos Origin. Because centralization and standardization are the mainstays of our IT strategy, we have made a conscious decision to outsource IT management to a single supplier.
Rob Pols CEO of Atos Origin at the Netherlands, said: We are really pleased that Sanoma Uitgevers has confirmed its confidence in our strategic partnership by signing this new contract. Because Atos Origin has a special media unit, we are able to meet Sanoma Uitgevers’ specific requirements for its IT systems and applications. This way of working combined with the scale, flexibility and decisive qualities of Atos Origin have played a crucial role in the decision to renew this contract. We are confident that we will be able to make a valuable contribution towards the realization of Sanoma Uitgevers’ strategic goals.
