Resource Interactive has introduced a new version of social commerce platform Off the Wall (OTW), which allows retail brands to sell their merchandise through Facebook status updates.

According to Resource Interactive, Off the Wall Version 2.0 also allows consumers to purchase products directly from a brand without leaving the Facebook environment. A brand can post an item for purchase as a status update to its Facebook page and it can be bought directly by users from their live feed, news feed or the brand’s wall.

In addition, users can also share the status update with their friends and its eCommerce functionality is maintained wherever it appears in Facebook. Off the Wall can also be implemented as a custom tab on a brand’s Facebook page.

In addition, the new version features include a self-service admin tool for brands to create and launch their own OTW campaigns; multi-item campaigns; video integration; time and quantity limits on campaigns; status update and/or tab delivery; and advanced analytics to provide brands with the ability to track impressions as well as a detailed view of traffic through the purchase funnel.

Dan Shust, emerging media director at Resource Interactive, said: “It’s crucial brands partner with a company that not only offers a very flexible tool, but also brings true knowledge of the consumer to the table. With Off the Wall 2.0, we’re making social commerce simpler and more accessible than ever-not to mention measurable.
