Predictive information management software provider Recommind has said that Mishcon de Reya, a law firm with offices in London and New York, has selected the company’s Decisiv Search and Decisiv Email Management offerings, as well as the QwikFind toolbar, to overhaul the firm’s management of electronically stored information (ESI).

The company said that based on its Context Optimised Relevancy Engine platform, the deployment will form the backbone of Mishcon de Reya’s new information management structure.

The Decisiv Search offering will integrate with the the law firm’s existing databases, including Autonomy iManage and Solcara Know How for Documents, Aderant Expert and Lexis Nexis InterAction, as well as external content via integration with Solcara SolSearch, to create one search environment.

The company claimed that with the added Matters & Expertise module, Mishcon de Reya’s employees will be able to locate colleagues with the most relevant experience and knowledge to answer a specific query.

In addition, the implementation of Recommind’s QwikFind toolbar will provide access to Decisiv Search from the desktop toolbar or from within Microsoft Office applications.

Recommind said that its Decisiv Email Management will help Mishcon de Reya’s staff overcome email management issues by providing the automated categorisation, filing and storage of email based information, including email retrieval functionalities.

Mishcon de Reya director of information technology Nick Taylor-Delahoy said that Recommind will enable them to move away from working in a linear knowledge management manner towards being a more dynamic, x-centric firm – with ‘x’ being anything from clients to, matters, referrers or partners.
