Phase 2 International has unveiled Lotus Connections 2.5 with enhanced social networking and real-time information features.
The company said that it offers enterprise social networking for business through all the real-time data exchange benefits of Lotus Connections 2.5 and makes information gathering from multiple internet sources and communicating with colleagues easier.
According to Phase 2, the new offering increases efficiency internally and externally for business with the inclusion of newsfeeds; blogs private or public to keep communications open; communities to allow groups to collaborate with a common theme; social bookmarks to organise and share information and resources; and customisation through widgets and mobile access from the iPhone and other smartphones.
Licensing for software applications is based on monthly usage; there are no upfront costs or contract requirements. Data migration, customisation, training and 24×7 support are all included. Applications are provided in a high-availability configuration and come complete with client software, the company added.
