NTT Europe, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Communications, has opened a new PoP in Warsaw to provide extended reach of the global IP network into Eastern Europe.
The company said that the new PoP has begun serving customers this month. Customers can benefit from SLA-based IP Transit Service to develop their enterprise connections in Poland.
NTT Com provides a service from a single, AS-based worldwide network. Direct connections to major ISPs and content providers in many countries makes internet access faster and minimises distance delays, the company claims.
In addition to IPv4, the company operates IPv6 Backbone, spanning Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. NTT Com’s Global IP Network runs IPv4 and IPv6 in dual-stack mode end to end and services include a fully managed hosting service that offers high availability and security from the Tier 1 internet backbone, the company said.
Clive Hamilton, NTT Europe, head of Global IP – EMEA Region, said: “This latest expansion demonstrates NTT Com’s ability to deliver high quality network services around the globe. Customers can now benefit from a seamless, 100% SLA-based IP Transit Service when looking to develop their enterprise connections in Poland. We are very pleased to announce our presence in LIM, Warsaw. We will now be able to offer access to NTT Com’s award-winning Global Tier 1 IP Backbone to a wide range of customers.
“The Warsaw PoP is built with no single point of failure and is connected to NTT Com’s Tier 1 IP Backbone by resilient, multi-gigabit links. Due to the proven high quality of NTT Com’s IP Network we already had contracts in place, in advance of the go-live date, to deliver services to customers out of Warsaw.”
