Google has invested $600 million to build a 164,000 sq ft in city of The Dalles.
An opening date has not yet been released but the company will be revealing the results of the expansion soon.
The new data centre facility will boost Google’s portfolio, doubling the size of the company’s data centres infrastructure in the Wasco County town.
Google chose to open its first data centre in The Dalles in 2006 as the region "has the right combination of energy infrastructure, developable land, and available workforce for the data centre."
The venture had a price tag of $1.2 billion and created 80 full time jobs on site.
Last month Google was reported to be looking at a $300 million expansion of its Geogia Riverside Parkway data centre.
