German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom has launched its M2M Marketplace, a platform for manufacturers and dealers to offer their hardware, software, apps relating to M2M communication.
The M2M Marketplace provides vendors with global distribution channel for their M2M products in addition to their own sales channels.
It gives the freedom for the customer to compare offers on an international scale and choose their individual M2M needs from on offer or alternatively purchase a full-package application.
The new portal will enable Vendors to put details of their hardware, software and industry apps on the portal, including a precise description and pictures of the product, or screenshots of the web interface.
It also provides the option of including technical documentation for download.
The M2M Marketplace will offer nine segments for vendors to allocate their offers: Energy, Healthcare, Transport & Logistics, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Retail, Industrial Automation, Public Sector and Security.
Deutsche Telekom’s M2M Marketplace supports both application providers and customers who want to optimise their business with the support of M2M. The company is also planning to offer the requisite SIM cards and SIM chips via the M2M Marketplace.
