Lancaster, UK-based Ufindus has 20,000 small and medium-size business customers across the UK and 1.9 million online directory listings. It offers three search directories: SmileLocal, MoreUK, and Ufindus, and more than 100 niche directories that focus on specialist trade sectors.
It has 300 employees and generated revenue of 14m pounds ($27.6m) in the year ended March 2007. As part of the deal, Iomart will continue to provide web-hosting services for Ufindus.
Earlier this year, BT’s directories division launched BT Exchanges, an online directory with social networking technology to enable consumers to find, review, and communicate with local businesses.
