Arkadin, a provider of remote collaboration applications, has rolled out new conferencing tools, Mobile Application, Outlook Add-On and Lotus Notes Add-On. These new features enable business professionals to remotely collaborate from anywhere.

According to Arkadin, its Mobile Application is an add-on for RIM’s BlackBerry, which allows customers to send calendar invites with pre-populated audio and web conference access details and access audio conference directly from mobile phone. The company is also working on developing the same type of application for iPhone and Windows Mobile OS.

In addition, it has developed an Add-On for both Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes email applications. These add-ons allow users to send calendar invites with pre-populated audio and web conference access details directly from the integrated toolbar without logging in.

According to Arkadin, benefits of new conferencing tools include: save logging time; account settings (PIN and web login) automatically integrated; and allows only moderators to download the add-on from the company’s portal.

These new conferencing tools also support all the BlackBerry devices with platform version 4.2 and above; Microsoft Outlook (2003 and 2007) on Windows XP/Vista; and Lotus Notes (version 6.5 or later).

Glenn Fleischman, president of Arkadin North America, said: “In today’s environment, more of our customers are looking for easy, cost-effective alternatives to face-to-face meetings. These conferencing tools will make it easier to schedule and attend meetings, and therefore, further enhance productivity.”
