Compaq Computer Corp has put all its data networking equipment products into a new communications products group and tapped Alan Lutz to head it. Lutz, 51, had been executive vice-president and president of Unisys Corp’s computer systems group, where he oversaw cost-cutting and a product revamping that led to improved hardware results.
