Shop Direct has chosen Amplience’s Big Content platform to manage its customer interaction across its brands.

Amplience will help the digital retailer ensure that its visual site content remains up-to-date across all of its online stores, which include very.co.uk.

Amplience, which provides tools to automate the display of visual assets on online stores, provides Big Content to several retailers including House of Fraser, DFS and Marks and Spencer. The cloud platform is aimed at ecommerce marketers.

"Shop Direct always strives to deliver a visually rich and engaging digital shopping experience for our customers, no matter how they choose to connect with our brands," said Sam Barton, head of user experience at Shop Direct.

"Since deploying Amplience Dynamic Media, we’ve seen distinct improvements in speed and agility in media sharing across our brands. Amplience has also enabled us to incorporate content such as interactive video and rich shoppable content, that we couldn’t have even considered on our previous platform."

"Ultimately, this enables us to deliver a cutting edge online and mobile experience for our customers."

"The definition of a high-level retail experience has changed dramatically in recent years, and so too have the ways that retailers deliver that experience," said James Brooke, CEO and Founder, Amplience.

He added: "Today’s retailers must focus on ensuring that their customers enjoy a first-class online and mobile experience, and a big component of this is supplying engaging and interactive content.

"By utilising Amplience, Shop Direct has been able deliver a superior online and mobile experience for its customers. We’re thrilled to have helped them to that end, and we look forward to a continued relationship in the future."
