Germany-based enterprise application software provider SAP is developing its collaboration with Google to allow customers more easily visualise geographic data and make better business decisions.
The integration will enable enterprise customers to use Google’s cloud mapping tools with SAP software to manage large data volumes in intuitive, visual displays and facilitate faster, more-informed decisions.
As per the collaboration deal, both the companies will now work together to pair enterprise applications with consumer tools, such as Google Maps and Google Earth, in order to offer customers a geographic view and use rich, interactive analytics to respond to events as they unfold in real time.
Google’s interactive map, satellite and street-level views offer comprehensive global coverage, and deliver easily deployed mapping platform that enables customers to quickly to visualise geographic data and gain better insights into their businesses.
SAP notes its location-based intelligence capabilities, allows customers to analyse their business data in a geospatial context to understand the "where" of their information, as well as global, regional and local trends and how they are impacted by different scenarios.
Through the deal, SAP plans to enhance its business analytics software with location-based data capabilities, allowing customers to interact with real-time information through Google Maps.
The new, updated enterprise offerings from this collaboration between SAP and Google are planned to be launched in the upcoming releases of various SAP enterprise products, including SAP BusinessObjects offerings and mobile applications.
