Onyx Group, a UK based technology offerings provider, will offer SAP Business One as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to businesses across the UK, as per a new deal with SAP.
Customer will now be able to access the Group’s hosted software offering that enables businesses to manage critical business functions, including distribution, sales, and financials, all in a single integrated off-premise system.
The Business One hosted offering often delivered through Onyx from its five datacentres in the UK will benefit organisations from lower cost of ownership, improved scalability and ease-of-use.
Onyx Group CEO Neil Stephenson said more and more companies are inevitably moving data and application services out of the workplace and into data centres to benefit from the availability and quality of service.
"As the market matures and cloud technologies become second nature, it’s only natural that clients are comfortable with consuming applications as a service and we intend to be proactive in having our product ready," Stephenson said.
"We have already redirected our ‘on-premise’ applications team to be ready to meet demand and embrace the future of ERP applications.
"This partnership will provide Onyx with an extension of outreach into the UK market, bolstering the company’s existing portfolio of services whilst supporting the company’s strategic growth plan."
Onyx said that it will configure SAP BusinessOne software to the customer’s specifications, host the system and run the SAP software using standard Application Management Services (AMS) offering, which includes an integrated Help Desk.
SAP director of Channel Rich Phillips said geared to organisations with limited IT resources, SAP Business One is an integrated solution that can help small businesses get the synergy they need across different business functions.
"The software is available as a hosted package enabling smaller companies to run the solution on a laptop instead of a server," Phillips said.
