Google has collaborated with accounting and consulting major PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC – pictured) to sell its cloud, mobile and security service apps to corporate customers.

The latest move comes in the wake of a disruption with some of Google’s online business software products such as Documents, Spreadsheets and Drive.

As part of the deal, PwC also started adopting a range of Google for Work products for own operations in the US and Australia, including Gmail, Hangouts, Sheets, Docs, Admin and Vault.

Google for Work president Amit Singh said: "Today we’re combining PwC’s rich client relationships and unparalleled industry knowledge with Google’s breadth of technology across cloud, applications and mobile.

"Millions of companies, large and small, look to Google to help them launch, build and transform their businesses.

"Together, we will provide and build solutions to help companies drive transformation and PwC will help bring the best of Google to work."

Further, the consulting firm will also develop apps and other tools for specific businesses.

In addition to reselling and installing the Google Apps for Work product suite, the collaboration will be aimed at high-level strategy work and research, which is expected to help businesses get used to disruptive market forces and boost their innovation skills.

PwC’s Google Strategic Alliance leader Tom Archer said: "Ultimately, our collaboration is about helping clients to embrace their journey to the cloud, and transform their organisations to thrive and maintain relevance in a rapidly changing world.
