Pentaho and Java Agile Portal System (jAPS), an open source enterprise accessible information platform, have entered into a strategic partnership under which they will deliver information applications to the Italian government.
The companies said that the will enable the Italian government to take advantage of integrated BI offerings and make government intelligence information accessible to more individuals, including those with disabilities.
As a technology offering for the Italian government, jAPS is an open source, web-based portal platform with full accessibility compliance for persons with disabilities. Pentaho BI Suite provides reporting, interactive analysis, data integration and data mining capabilities for delivery of information that enables organisations to transform raw data into critical intelligence and insight.
The joint offering is expected to help integrate BI information with other relevant content and deliver it through a customisable portal environment with full web accessibility.
Pentaho’s BI capabilities, combined with the Section 508- and W3C WCAG-compliant jAPS 2.0 Platform, provide a framework for accessible BI. The jAPS 2.0 Platform allow integration with Pentaho BI Suite. The integration between Pentaho and jAPS forms a complete offering for commercial and government organisations, and allows users to access organisational information through dashboard views, the companies said.
