Telecommunications equipment and network applications provider ZTE has introduced new IMS -based 4-net convergence voice application.

The new voice application supports one number service (voice/SMS) and voice switchover in GSM, WCDMA, LTE or WiFi networks while subscribers can also use a single number to answer a call or receive an SMS in various Radio Access Network scenarios.

The new carrier-grade application will help operators to provide enhanced voice communication than internet voice services but additionally they are also using multi-network convergence to provide enhanced voice services, such as One Number multi-access and real-time voice switchover (DRVCC, SRVCC).

ZTE’s IMS application fully adapts to operators’ requirements around full service development and network convergence evolution. It also supports access for all network types and provides a targeted mature application for the enterprise and individual subscribers.

The new convergence voice application also supports operator deployment of various multimedia convergence services, and facilitates operators working towards LTE.

ZTE Core Network Product CEO Liu Jianhua said, "ZTE’s IMS- based 4-net convergence voice solution focuses on improving operators’ competitive position with regards to LTE network operation by providing a multi- network voice solution that promises a high quality voice experience that is scalable across multiple platforms benefiting both the operator and end-user alike."
