India based telecom operator Reliance Communications (RCom) has reported revenue of INR50.93bn for the fourth quarter of 2010, a decrease of 17% compared to INR61.24bn of the same period last year.

The company reported an EBITA of INR16.02bn, compared to INR18.13bn of third quarter of 2010. On quarter-on-quarter basis, EBITA margin increased to 31.5% from 34.1%.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2010, the company posted a net income of INR12.2bn compared to INR11.08bn for the previous quarter. Net profit margin increased to 23.9% from 20.9% on a sequential basis.

Total subscribers for the first time crossed 100 million mark (102.42 million), an increase of almost 11% from the previous quarter.

For full year, the company posted total revenue of INR221.32m, a decrease of 3.6% from INR229.49m on year-on-year basis. EBITA declined to INR78.21 from INR93.05, while net profit surged down to INR46.55m from INR60.45m.

RCOM has undertaken several path breaking initiatives both in GSM and CDMA services and we are confident that inspite of highly competitive environment, we will be able to sustain profitable growth in the coming quarters.”
