Pilat Media Global, a UK-based supplier of business management software to the media industry, has signed a new contract with a US-based cable television network for the licensing, implementation and maintenance of its flagship integrated broadcast management system.

According to Pilat Media Global, integrated broadcast management system (IBMS) will manage and integrate content acquisition, channel scheduling, on-demand services and media preparations, replacing the network’s in-house software systems dedicated to these functions.

The initial value of the contracted licenses, implementation and customization services is estimated at approximately GBP2.5 million; additional revenues are expected from post go-live maintenance and other services.

Avi Engel, CEO of Pilat Media, said: This contract is another milestone in our continued penetration of the North American market as a leading provider of new generation software solutions for managing large and complex TV businesses. The new .Net version of IBMS will enable the cable network to become more competitive by streamlining its operations for both linear and on-demand programming and by making it easier and faster to launch new services and new channels.

Earlier in October, Pilat Media Global, has signed a new contract with SHOWTIME Australia for the licensing, implementation and maintenance of its Integrated Broadcast Management System (IBMS) to support PMP’s content programming, channel management and commercial traffic operations.
