NEC Unified Solutions has updated its UC for Enterprise (UCE), an unified communications suite designed to meet the demands for business collaboration, mobility and productivity. Enhancements to the suite include the new UCE Mobility, Microsoft Outlook integration for UCE Desktop Client, and new integration capabilities for the UCE Attendant.
According to NEC, when deployed with its Univerge SV8500 communications server, UCE Desktop Client provides a centralised interface allowing the users to access collaborative features and options, including: Microsoft Outlook toolbar integration to provide a single interface for all communication; UC collaboration to move from an audio call into a collaborative session with video, desktop or presentation sharing; conference manager to initiate ad hoc conference calls, and drag and drop participants.
Also when deployed with its Univerge SV8500 communications server, UCE Mobility enables enterprise users with an array of benefits, including: single-number reach; simultaneous rings designate up to five numbers; unified voicemail to check for messages; and enhanced interface, the company added.
Jay Krauser, general manager of core solutions and engineering at NEC, said: “These enhancements, which are the result of input from customers and dealers, bring new levels of productivity to the enterprise that can result in bottom line savings.”
