Ipcelerate has launched new IPsession NG platform, which it claims to bring a suite of business offerings to the IP desktop phone, mobile smart phones and desktop business applications. The new platform is built on NIPA 2.0 framework.
Ipcelerate said, on the network, the new platform incorporates a Web Services module provided by the NIPA 2.0 framework, allowing IPsession to interact with social networking and business communications applications.
According to Ipcelerate, at the desktop, the new platform includes two new modules: IPconcierge and the Mass Messaging module. IPconcierge is a midlet-based personal application suite that will run on IP phones, delivering a personalised user experience through a touch-screen QWERTY keyboard, touch-screen writing, and personal contact and messaging groups.
The Mass Messaging module is a business communications application based on NIPA 2.0’s alert, notification and messaging engine. It enables companies to create a specific response for managing an event that involves multiple steps and actions, and then initiate that response with the touch of a single button or icon on the IP phone, the company said.
The Web Services module will extend the range of embedded IPsession services into social networking applications, fundamental business process software applications and to mobile devices. It will bring IPsession capabilities to the iPhone, combining personal socialisation with corporate resources for the mobile user, the company said.
