Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand (FANZ) has entered into a three-year contract with a potential value of $25m with NBN Co to provide end user technology services (EUTS) – desktop support services – for all NBN Co staff.

As per the EUTS agreement, Fujitsu will provide computing services to enable NBN Co deliver high-speed broadband across Australia.

Fujitsu said it will assist NBN Co to meet the requirements of its rapidly expanding internal operations in a cost-effective and controlled manner.

NBN Co head of operations Steve Christian said NBN Co is pleased to add Fujitsu to the range of leading companies it is working with to provide the latest services to support its operations.

FANZ CTO Craig Baty said they see the NBN and its high-speed broadband network as a key enabler of the transition from the current network-centric world to human-centric computing.

FANZ CEO Mike Foster said this agreement represents a sound alignment of NBN Co’s objectives and Fujitsu’s capabilities and experience and leverages the investments they have made over the last few years in the area of managed services.

Recently, NBN Co selected Fujitsu as its prime alliance partner to deliver fibre infrastructure to new developments.
