BT Ireland will deploy Alcatel-Lucent’s IP portfolio including, 7750 Service Router and 5620 Service Aware Manager, to strengthen its IP Connect Ireland service.
The Ireland’s telecommunications firm is already using Alcatel-Lucent platform for cost-effective and feature-rich Ethernet delivery and the addition of IP portfolio of Alcatel-Lucent will allow BT to deliver IP services to its business customers.
IP Connect Ireland will utilise the new Alcatel-Lucent’s platform hardware and software to deliver business-critical features cost-effectively via several access methods.
The Ethernet-based and MPLS-based networks are used by businesses for mission-critical business applications, site-to-site VoIP, high-definition video conferencing/telepresence facilities and services, CCTV and related security related applications.
