According to the company, Airtel digital TV uses MPEG4 standard with DVB S2 technology, which claims to provide better picture clarity and high quality audio. This latest technology is also claimed to enable delivery of more complex interactive content and is high definition ready. Airtel digital TV also uses 20% larger dish antenna that is claimed to offer better performance during rains.

The company claims that the direct to home satellite (DTH) TV service offers universal remote for both set top box and TV; high set top box memory; exclusive content such as World space Radio; Interactive applications such as iMatinee, Travel, iShop and Widgets Update.
