IP-based integrated physical security systems provider, S2 Security has introduced S2 Global, a new flexible security network to better manage distributed physical security systems.
The new release enables users to integrate security management systems (SMS) and video management systems (VMS) appliances under one centrally-controlled distributed network, eliminating the regional chokepoints that pose problem for legacy systems.
The new application has retained many of the principles that S2 including an appliance-based architecture and web browser delivery.
The new system will help users build a network of remote security, controlling it at the central site or the remote site or simultaneously from both locations.
It also enables dispersed organisations to build large physical security networks without requiring a large communications infrastructure investment.
The new system automatically imports from common personnel management systems, scales to thousands of locations on a single global server and offers access privileges specified at both the local and global levels.
S2 Global includes a SOC (Security Operations Center) alarm management software that handles multiple simultaneous operators and the home page provides immediate access to data at any remote site.
It also integrates S2’s video management systems NetVR and NetBox VR, enabling customers to perform real- time surveillance and forensic searches across an entire global system.
S2 Global is flexible enough to meet the needs of a large-scale enterprises and smaller organisations and the company said it can be expanded to unlimited scale.
