Data security applications provider Imperva has introduced a new version of SecureSphere for SharePoint that is expected to secure data against Web attacks and insider threats.
SecureSphere for SharePoint 9.5 enhances compromised insider protection, automated application discovery and data discovery integration.
The new release provides control over collaboration and secures lists, sites, libraries, folders and files to ensure the right users have the right access to the right data.
It also enables administrators to create security policies and to manage access rights for any of these objects.
Release 9.5 will enable administrators to build "whitelist" or "blacklist" policies based on user IP addresses, ensuring only trusted users access sensitive SharePoint applications and data.
The new security application automatically discovers SharePoint Web applications to streamline security and compliance by enabling visibility and control over deployments at both the Site Collection and Application level.
It can also identify and protect critical SharePoint data via integration with third-party data discovery applications such as RSA Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Datacenter.
