AT&T and IBM have expanded their partnership to deliver new solutions in managed application and managed hosting services.

The companies, which have worked together for about 20 years, will offer businesses a suite of advanced networking, application and hosting services.

AT&T’s managed application and managed hosting services will be integrated into the IBM Cloud portfolio.

IBM will buy equipment and floor space access in AT&T data centres supporting the business.

The move will enable companies to more easily integrate networks and cloud workloads with their IT environments. IBM will deliver the managed applications and managed hosting services that are being currently offered by AT&T.

AT&T will continue to deliver networking services such as security, cloud networking and mobility.

IBM general manager of global technology services for North America Philip Guido said: "Working with AT&T, we will deliver a robust set of IBM Cloud and managed services that can continuously evolve to meet clients’ business objectives."

In October, AT&T and IBM have partnered to provide a scalable mobile cloud solution that is designed to protect corporate data and apps.

The partnership will combine AT&T and IBM’s mobile cloud security solution which will help customers secure their device, connectivity and data.
