The Linux operating system has chalked up another win by meriting inclusion in the Tucows network. Tucows was established in 1994 by Scott Swedorski as The Ultimate Collection Of Windows Software, so its expansion to embrace the Posix-like Linux platform is a milestone for both parties. The company founded to exploit Swedorski’s original page, Tucows Interactive Ltd, has added a site called Linuxberg to its network of software distribution centers. Linuxberg will feature new applications and games for Linux, all tested and evaluated by Tucows reviewers. Rather than merely pointing to existing internet resources for downloads, Linuxberg aims to be a useful member of the community by maintaining its own library of files and mirroring them all over the world. á
