Protelindo, a provider of wireless communications infrastructure in Indonesia, has renewed managed services contract with Nokia Siemens Networks, to focus on acquiring and leasing network infrastructure to telecom operators.
Under the agreement, Nokia Siemens Networks will maintain and operate over 5,000 base station towers for a multi-year period, with the possibility of yearly extensions.
Protelindo president director Adam Gifari said outsourcing field services to Nokia Siemens Networks has helped them streamline operations and deliver superior experience to their customers.
"It has enabled us to focus on our core business of expanding our market presence and revenue growth while providing compelling arguments to our sales force during the acquisition of new tenants," Gifari said.
Nokia Siemens Networks Indonesia head of business development Salman Zafar said they value their partnership with Protelindo because it’s not only a strong testimony to their superior managed services capabilities, but also it is their first commercial infrastructure outsourcing deal anywhere in the world.
