Fujitsu Ltd has also come out with the Fujitsu CIM Manufacturing Network System, designed for a multi-vendor open systems environment: it uses the MAP 3.0 Manufacturing Automation Protocol and consists of Mapkink-10 and Maplink-5 routers, 14 different versions of the F7850 factory terminal; and MAP support on Fujitsu computers, including the M-series mainframes, A-series Unix workstations and FA personal computers; the products were developed in conjunction with Fuji Facom Control Ltd, which will also assist with the support of the system; a system with 20 terminals costs $238,000 with Maplink-10 router, $160,830 with Maplink-5 router; Fujitsu looks to sell a 180 systems over the next three years, with 2,700 F7850 factory terminals.
