Fujitsu Australia & New Zealand has entered into in a new collaboration with SAP, to enable Fujitsu infrastructure customers real-time business analytics with SAP In-Memory Appliance software.

Fujitsu said its certified and optimized servers, storage and network infrastructure have now been validated by SAP for use with the SAP In-Memory Appliance software (SAP HANA), a multipurpose, data source agnostic, in-memory appliance.

SAP HANA provides enterprises with instant insight into their business operations, delivering improved system performance and lowering operational risks.

The software also improves speed by analysing data within server memory, rather than offloading it to disk-based systems.

Fujitsu will offer an end-to-end HANA solution, from complete hardware provisioning to integration of the HANA appliance in the customer data centre, as well as developing and supporting the applications built on HANA using SAP BusinessObjects solutions.

According to Fujitsu, its comprehensive services will also provide customers with both proactive and reactive 24×7 support, defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), a dedicated technical account manager and regular system health checks through Fujitsu Solution Contract for SAP HANA infrastructure.

SAP itself uses Fujitsu infrastructure, among others, to run SAP HANA in its own data centres.

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand solutions manager for SAP EPM, business analytics and HANA Les Smith said with SAP HANA running on and supported by Fujitsu, customers will have unparalleled insight into data, whatever the size of organisation.
